PINE
Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine)
This is a native, evergreen tree, popular for adding into mixed woodland. Amongst pines the Scots pine is distinguished by its red bark and in some subspecies a rounded top when mature. Pine wood is grown commercially for such things as furniture and fencing. It is a "soft wood" and does not last very long outside.
